Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to know how to swim or dive to enjoy the tour?
No swimming or diving experience is needed! The Yellow Submarine Adventure takes place inside a real, air-conditioned submarine — just sit back and enjoy the underwater views in complete comfort and safety.
Is the tour safe for children and seniors?
Absolutely. Our submarine is designed to accommodate passengers of all ages. Children must be at least 3 feet tall to board. The ride is smooth, climate-controlled, and guided by a professional crew, making it perfect for families and seniors alike.
How long does the entire experience last?
The full experience lasts approximately 90 minutes, including a 40–45 minute underwater dive. The remaining time includes check-in, safety briefing, and transfer to and from the dive site.
What will we see during the tour?
Expect to see colorful coral reefs, tropical fish, stingrays, sea turtles, sponges, and even shipwrecks! The Cayman Islands’ marine life is diverse and breathtaking — there’s always something to discover.
Is the submarine air-conditioned and comfortable?
Yes! The submarine is fully air-conditioned, spacious, and equipped with large viewing ports for amazing panoramic sights under the sea.
Will I feel claustrophobic or seasick?
Most guests find the ride smooth and enjoyable. The submarine remains stable underwater and moves slowly, reducing the chance of motion sickness. If you're prone to claustrophobia, feel free to speak to our crew beforehand — they’re here to help.
How can I book a ride, and is advance booking required?
You can easily book your ride through our website. Advance booking is strongly recommended, especially during peak tourist seasons, as tours can fill up quickly.
What should I wear or bring with me?
Wear comfortable clothing and flat shoes. Since you won’t be getting wet, there's no need for swimwear. Don’t forget your camera or phone for those post-tour snaps!
Where does the tour depart from?
All tours depart from our check-in office on Grand Cayman. After a quick safety briefing, a transfer vessel will take you to the submarine's dive site.
Is the tour wheelchair accessible?
At this time, the submarine is not fully wheelchair accessible due to the ladder-style entry. Guests must be able to navigate a short stairway to board the vessel safely.
